Pepper Training: Hospital Visit

this morning Pepper and I will be visiting a hospital. Not because we like to frequent such places, but because sometimes in the course of my life it becomes necessary for me to be there with people whom I love and, once in a while, for my own benefit. It is easier at such times to know that my dog feels comfortable and knows that I am comfortable with her in that situation. So I requested to visit a hospital in Morristown which allows the Seeing Eye to bring the training dogs in. She will be exposed to wheelchairs and rolling gurneys and whatever else we see in the lobby. I think she will do fine.

In the afternoon we will have a farewell party. I am ready to go home but sad to leave at the same time. I have really enjoyed working with my trip partner and will miss her. In this environment we develop the habit of caring for one another and when a partnership works well it is a unique experience. Perhaps everyone should try this as a team-building experience. 😉
