Crying Out

The foundational story for both Jews and Christians is the story of God delivering the Israelites from slavery in Egypt. The part of the story that we don’t often preach is that the deliverance took time and God was responding to the cries of a people in anguish. No one wants to be the people who cry out in anguish; but the people who cry out in anguish are a part of the deliverance story and some of those people never witness the deliverance in their earthly lifetimes.

If you feel like you are crying out in anguish, don’t blame God for not hearing you. Trust that you are still a part of God’s story.
