day 2 in Olympia

Day 2 in Olympia… It is a rather quiet day today. Yesterday we cleaned like crazy people, stirring up all kinds of things and making all things new! It is amazing what two people can do when they put hearts and hands to the task! We are not quite done yet, but it is happening.

We made some rather amazing pasta for dinner–I think I must start posting some recipes. We ended up cooking together, and I quite enjoyed that. All that we were missing was garlic bread. Ah well… Future meals will be better planned.

Tonight we celebrate things to come. We have been planning one thing as our celebration. Olympia boasts an Out Back Steakhouse; and I think the last time I ate at one may have been four years ago. So when I planned my trip here, Kevin said that he wanted to take me to eat there. One of our favorite things is to share a blooming onion. I’m looking forward to this. And I reserve the right to have the chocolate thunder from down under… We’ll see whether I’m hungry enough.
