I began my work with technology as a technical writer and usability consultant with Freedom Scientific, Inc., where I was employed from 2002 to 2003. My documentation projects included a tutorial on how the JAWS screen reader works with HTML features, use of instant messenger clients with screen readers, and how to connect personal digital assistants to a home or office network.
In 2007, I developed a table to display pointed Hebrew and polytonic Greek on braille displays with the JAWS screen reader. JAWS supports modern Hebrew and Greek; but these tables lack all of the characters needed in order to read ancient biblical texts. Her table for JAWS is available on Night-Light,
I have assisted several seminary students in configuring their computers to display biblical Hebrew and Greek. I have also evaluated several biblical software programs for accessibility.
